World War I Historical Association announces new Student Paper Prize

The World War I Historical Association (www.ww1ha.org) is pleased to announce a new initiative, the Colonel Paul F. Braim Student Paper Prize. The award is a $250 prize for the best undergraduate and/or master-level graduate student paper on an aspect of World War I (1914-18).
Papers nominated for this award may not exceed 3,500 words in length excluding footnotes and works cited. The paper submission shall be in Times New Roman 12-point font and include footnotes/endnotes in The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition format.
Students who wish to be considered for the 2025 prize should submit an electronic version of the completed paper to [email protected] by October 1st with the awardee announced on November 11th. The award committee also reserves the right not to award a scholarship based on the quality of submissions received.
The use of other individuals, groups, or artificial intelligence (AI) to write any portions of the paper are prohibited and shall result in the paper submission being disqualified from award consideration.
Paper header shall include student name, educational institution, student email, and undergraduate or master-level.
