BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – On this “You Can Quote Me,” a World War I veteran finally gets the honors he earned nearly 45 years after he died. His remains sat unclaimed in a funeral home basement until one director decided to make it right. Who showed up to be his “family” at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery and why this salute was so long overdue… Joe Carroll has the story.
And big honors for WCAX Anchor and Reporter Cat Viglienzoni. She took home her first Emmy award for a special report on the dangers of the Huntington Gorge.
We’ll take another look as people once again flock to the popular swimming hole.
Also, the World Cup is here. We have special coverage of the big matches and excitement around the event.
